You might try changing the target drive to a different location. If you have it selected from the Start menu, you can select from the list at the bottom of the screen. Otherwise, you can find it by typing \Device\HarddiskDriveX into the start menu. You may also try installing the latest rufus and trying it from the Run prompt. See for instructions. There is a option in Rufus Portable to change the disk boot manager from MBR to GPT.But I don't know how to do it. That's why, I have upgraded the Windows version from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7. Now, I can create the GPT disk and install Rufus Portable v2.0.877 again.It can now work well.
